About Leakhena:

Leakhena An is a risk and audit professional with over 15 years of experience supporting global financial institutions and Big 4 consulting firms, including EY, Citi, HSBC, and Accenture. She has worked extensively with senior stakeholders on internal audit delivery, risk and control assessments, issue validation, quality assurance, IT SOX testing, business analysis, and compliance reviews. This breadth of experience has enabled her to develop sound expertise across both the business and IT sides of controls.

Some examples of her work include (non-exhaustive):

· Assessing the design of business controls and IT SOX controls, evaluating their operating effectiveness, and identifying any deficiencies to ensure risks are properly mitigated.

· Reviewing regulatory requirements (e.g., AML/CFT) and mapping them to company controls to identify gaps, providing recommendations to strengthen controls and meet regulatory expectations.

· Validating business actions taken to remediate deficiencies in risk management, compliance, and internal controls in response to regulatory enforcement actions and orders.

She has worked internationally across London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Luxembourg, and Paris, and has also lived in Taiwan, Cambodia, and Thailand — experiences that have helped her adapt quickly to new environments and diverse organisational cultures.

Leakhena helps companies strengthen their control environments to align with the high standards of robustness required in the banking sector, meet regulatory expectations related to risks and controls, and prepare effectively for audits and bank due-diligence processes. She brings a pragmatic approach to mentoring, supporting founders and leadership teams as they build the controls needed to scale responsibly.

In addition, she served as the volunteer lead of the UK EY French Business Network (FBN), coordinating events for French-speaking employees alongside her full-time role during her tenure at EY.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing competitive golf and training in boxing.
