Inside Level39: June Edition

From Money20/20 Europe and London Tech Week to international delegations and community celebrations, June was packed with conversations, connections and opportunities. Here's a look back at some of the highlights from a busy month at Level39.

Inside Level39: June in Review

June was one of our busiest months of the year packed with international visitors, industry-leading events and global conversations around fintech, AI, cybersecurity and innovation.

From Amsterdam’s Money20/20 Europe to a busy London Tech Week programme, we continued to connect founders, corporates, investors and policymakers from across the world.

Money20/20 Europe

Amy French and Aimee Tiernan attended Money20/20 Europe in Amsterdam, joining thousands of fintech leaders, innovators and investors for one of the industry’s most influential events.

Several themes emerged throughout the week:

  • Exceptional customer experience remains the benchmark for success.
  • The next generation of fintech unicorns will likely be built by leaner, highly productive teams.
  • Trust will define the future of AI-powered banking and payments.
  • Competitive advantage will come from effective AI implementation, not simply adoption.
  • Regulatory clarity will be critical for digital assets and stablecoins.
  • Partnerships remain essential for growth and scale.

Alongside the conference, the team attended networking events including the European Networking Event and Barclays’ Money20/20 reception, connecting with founders, investors and ecosystem leaders from across Europe.

One message stood out above all others: while AI and digital assets dominate the conversation, long-term fintech success is still built on trust, collaboration and strong relationships.

London Tech Week

London Tech Week once again showcased the strength of London’s innovation ecosystem, bringing together technology leaders, founders, investors and policymakers from around the globe.

International Delegations

Ahead of London Tech Week, we welcomed a delegation of business leaders and scaleups from Denver, Colorado, organised by London & Partners, highlighting opportunities between the London and Colorado start-up ecosystems.

During the week, we also hosted representatives from BTM Istanbul and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, exploring future collaboration opportunities and potential soft-landing support for Turkish startups looking to expand into the UK.

Events & Ecosystem Activity

We were delighted to welcome Pitchflix’s rev™ London: London Tech Week Special, in partnership with the Department for Business and Trade and Global Tech Advocates, connecting founders with investors, accelerators and innovation organisations.

The Level39 team also attended the Grow London VIP Reception and Routes to Scale: How Fintechs Grow in the UK and Beyond, where discussions focused on entrepreneurship, AI, talent, investment and international growth.

Across the week, several themes emerged:

  • Continued support for founders and scaleups is vital to UK competitiveness.
  • AI presents significant opportunities when deployed responsibly.
  • Access to talent remains one of London’s greatest strengths.
  • International collaboration continues to drive innovation and growth.

The strength of London’s technology ecosystem was also reflected in several key milestones highlighted during the Grow London VIP Reception:

  • London has attracted $12.6bn in tech investment in 2026 to date, reinforcing its position as Europe’s leading technology hub.
  • The capital has produced 12 new unicorns in 2026, demonstrating the continued strength of its startup and scaleup ecosystem.
  • The Mayor of London has launched a £12m programme to help SMEs adopt AI, supporting businesses and Londoners to benefit from the AI revolution.

London Tech Week provided another valuable opportunity to showcase Canary Wharf and Level39 to a global audience while strengthening relationships across the innovation ecosystem.

Welcoming Global Delegations

June saw strong international engagement across the community.

Students from IE Business School visited Level39 as part of their Global Immersion Week, hearing from Level39 member Chinmay Khuspare, Founder of Quinine Cybersecurity, about building a business in London.

We also hosted participants from the Global Tech Connect Cybersecurity Bootcamp, alongside delegations from the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance and the Vietnam National Innovation Centre, with discussions covering AI, fintech, cybersecurity, digital assets and international growth.

Industry Events at Level39

A diverse range of organisations chose Level39 as the venue for conferences, workshops and leadership events throughout June, including:

  • British Neuroscience Association Dementia Masterclass
  • JPMorgan Senior Leadership Conference
  • CybSafe Cybersecurity Workshop
  • Stora Summit 2026
  • Hershey’s Brand Day
  • BusinessLDN’s discussion with TfL Commissioner Andy Lord

Together, these events reflected the breadth of industries engaging with the Level39 community, from healthcare and cybersecurity to infrastructure and consumer brands.

Fintech & AI

The pace of innovation across fintech and AI continued throughout June.

We hosted the Innovate Finance Partnerships Afternoon, where organisations including Barclays, EY, JPMorgan, Lloyds Banking Group, Peel Hunt, SBI Group, Tenity and Visa shared how they work with fintechs and where they see opportunities for collaboration.

We were also proud to sponsor the Best Use of AI in FinTech category at the Fintech Awards London. Congratulations to Tunic Pay for winning the award, Level39 member FinregE for being named RegTech Company of the Year, and Zopa Bank for receiving a Highly Commended recognition in the FinTech Company of the Year category.

The month concluded with the Women’s AI Breakfast: Founders Edition, bringing together leaders working at the forefront of robotics and physical AI to discuss innovation, responsibility and the future of human-machine interaction.

Healthcare Innovation

CWG partnered with J.P. Morgan for the third consecutive year to host the European Healthcare Symposium, bringing together more than 300 healthcare leaders, innovators and investors.

Discussions explored AI’s growing role in healthcare, investment activity across the sector and the opportunities emerging across diagnostics, drug development and healthcare infrastructure.

Around Canary Wharf

There was plenty happening beyond the conference rooms this month.

Level39 featured on the Canary Wharf Summer Screens, helping showcase our venue hire offering and community to thousands of visitors expected throughout the summer.

Meanwhile, the opening of Sea Lanes Canary Wharf brought a new dimension to Canary Wharf’s growing wellbeing offering. Described as London’s new oasis for open water swimming, sauna and social hangouts by the water, London’s first National Open Water Swimming Centre features a six-lane floating pool with year-round access, alongside saunas, a clubhouse, food and drink outlets, retail facilities, biodiverse green spaces and fully accessible amenities designed to make open water swimming more inclusive. Developed in partnership with CWG as part of the wider transformation of Eden Dock, the new facility further strengthens Canary Wharf’s position as a destination for health, wellbeing and community.

Looking Ahead

From Amsterdam to Canary Wharf, June demonstrated the power of bringing people together. Through global conferences, international delegations, industry events and community partnerships, we continued to create opportunities for connection and collaboration across the Level39 ecosystem.

As we continue into the summer months, we’re looking forward to building on that momentum and continuing to support the founders, innovators and organisations shaping the future of technology, fintech and innovation.
