Zied is the founder of Motius R&D and Spacewalk VC. Motius is an R&D company, specialized in using emerging technologies to solve problems in different industries. It is active in Europe and the US, working on robotics, AI, biotech, and chip design with companies like Microsoft, BMW, and Intel.

Spacewalk VC is an early-stage deep tech fund that invests in breakthrough technologies in Europe and the US. Its affiliation with Motius gives it a head start in selecting technologies and teams with the greatest potential in different markets, as well as a competitive advantage in generating value post-investment by opening the market to the portfolio.

Zied’s background is in engineering and neuroscience. He holds several board positions in companies across Europe and the US, ranging from pre-revenue to 10 billion € in annual revenue.

About the Al-Kindi Club:

The Al-Kindi Club is a society of Arab technology enthusiasts living and working in the UK. Through our monthly events we aim to bring the community together to celebrate the achievements of members of the Arab community working in the UK science and technology sector. Our events are open to anyone, as this is not in any way an exclusive cultural society.

Although the Al-Kindi Club is focussed on celebrating the work of a particular community, we warmly encourage anyone with an interest in technology to come along to our events. Our focus on the Arab community stems from a current lack of a platform for Arabs in technology to meet and get to know each other, and insufficient appreciation and celebration of their contribution to the UK technology sector.
