He was a co-founder of Sainty, Hird and Partners in 1996, recognised as one of the most successful boutiques in senior level search and board advisory.

He was an exited founder of SHP Associates (sold to Heidrick and Struggles £3.5m) and Boardex (sold to TheStreet.com $21m) and subsequently a serial investor in, and adviser to high growth, founder led start up and scale up companies.
