About Tom:

With an insurance journey beginning in 2011, Tom’s continual focus through his career has been in the Financial Lines sector – working with firms that provide professional/tech services to their clients, to arrange their financial risk insurances. This ranges between large, complex placement for firms managing billions of assets, to smaller more boutique businesses that are purely advisory in scope. Starting at Baronsmead Partners, Tom went on to become Head of Asset Management in 2017, when Baronsmead became part of AssuredPartners London. In 2021, Tom became Divisional Director for Protean Risk (a trading name of the Howden Group) before establishing the existing UK Retail Team at BMS Group in 2024.

Within BMS, he works with clients to provide a tailored and understandable insurance programme. As well as being accessible and dependable throughout the client’s renewal process, Tom and his team provided availability year-round to offer advisory services whether this be from a regulatory, claims or general insurance perspective.

Their specialism is based on providing broad, market leading coverage for Professional Indemnity, Crime and Directors’ and Officers’ insurance policies, channelling the ethos that every client is entitled access to experienced and specialist advice.

The UK Retail Team also dovetail with several other excellent teams that gives clients the ability to source Cyber Liability and General Liability coverage, providing a one stop shop for all requirements.
